Iran Confirms Solid Supports Hezbollah's Decision
JAKARTA - The Islamic Republic of Iran affirms support for any decision taken by the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah. This was revealed by the senior adviser to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ali Larijani.
"The conflict in South Lebanon shows the irrationality and failure of the Israeli regime," Ali Larijani said in an interview with Al Mayadeen on Saturday morning, as quoted by IRNA.
In his statement, Larijani said that he brought a direct message from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to Syrian President Bashar Assad and Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. The messages mainly affirm support for the Syrian and Lebanese people, as well as resistance movements, Larijani said. Larijani also stressed that the draft ceasefire agreement includes articles that can produce agreements, provided the United States and the Israeli regime do not violate it.
"Hezbollah, with wise commanders, has mature political rationality," said Larijani, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, November 16.
Regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's policy, Larijani said that Netanyahu dreams of changing the Middle East, but he is not strong enough to make it happen because of his dependence on the power of the United States.
"The formation of the new Middle East cannot be achieved by certain individuals, but by those who fight on the battlefield and fight against enemies," he added.
In another part of his interview, he assured that victory would be achieved because actions of Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip have made people in the region more resilient and strong.
Leading a delegation, Larijani departed for Damascus on Thursday, November 14, to hold talks with top Syrian officials.
After that, he visited Lebanon, met with senior Arab state officials, and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.
