The Indonesian Women's MLBB National Team Is Ready To Face The First Match At IESF 2024

JAKARTA - The women's Indonesian esports national team number Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang (MLBB) is ready to undergo the inaugural group stage match at the 2024 IESF World Esports Championship which was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Saturday.

The head coach of the Indonesian Esports National Team, Richard Permana, said that the condition of the women's MLBB national team was very good, both technically and mentally. "The condition and readiness of the Indonesian Esports National Team MLBB Women is very good, technical and psychological. Yesterday, while attending Media Day, the MLBB Women National Team has carried out venue monitoring," said Richard, quoted by VOi from ANTARA.

Richard added that the women's MLBB national team had been given information and strategies to anticipate potential technical problems that might arise. This step was taken based on the experience experienced by the men's MLBB national team in the previous world championship held by international esport federations.

"We have provided them with information on potentially emerging technical constraints, including solutions to every problem that takes longer to resolve due to local procedures that cannot be intervened by anyone, including the IESF itself," Richard explained. "This is important so that they are mentally prepared to face these obstacles, especially in maintaining conditions on stage."

The Indonesian esport National Team Agency (BTN) has also submitted complaints regarding technical problems experienced by the men's MLBB national team to IESF since the inaugural group stage match which took place on Tuesday, November 12.

In the match against Guam, the Indonesian men's MLBB national team experienced more than three technical problems, causing the game to be paused several times. This also happened to other teams and extended the duration of the match. As a result, the schedule for the match between the Indonesian national team and Saudi Arabia had to be postponed until the next day.

Richard considered that this technical problem was detrimental to the men's MLBB national team because they lost their momentum and important rest time.

After completing their appearance at the 2024 IESF with a bronze medal, the men's MLBB national team has now submitted a struggle relay to the women's MLBB national team. They will compete in a group format attended by 12 countries. The Indonesian women's MLBB national team is in Group 1 with Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Guatemala, and Egypt, in the best of one match format (finals in one game).

In the inaugural match, the Indonesian women's MLBB national team will face Uzbekistan at 16.00 WIB, followed by a match against Guatemala at 17.00 WIB.
