Massive Government Eradicates Online Gambling, PPATK: Transaction Value Drops
JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) stated that there was a decrease in the value of online gambling transactions. The reason is massive prosecution carried out by all relevant agencies and institutions.
"Yes, there is a tendency to be successfully hampered by the collaboration of all interested parties," said Head of PPATK, Ivan Yustiavandana to VOI, Saturday, November 16.
The decline in the value of online gambling transactions will continue to occur until the end of this year in line with the massive action taken
However, it was not conveyed in detail about the nominal or percentage of the decrease in the value of online gambling transactions.
It is only emphasized that the number or value of online gambling transactions in 2024 will be smaller than in 2023.
"The prediction until the end of 2024 is no more than last year's 2023 fund-raising of IDR 327 trillion," said Ivan.

The online gambling case revealed by the National Police, in this case the Polda Metro Jaya, is a case involving individuals from the Ministry of Digital and Communication (Komdigi).
