Against An Empty Box, Arie-Sumarno Couple Committed To Promoting North Bengkulu

BENGKULU - The pair of candidates for regent and deputy regent of North Bengkulu Regency, namely Arie Septia Adinata and Sumarno, who fought the empty boxes in the 2024 regional head elections (Pilkada) are committed to improving the welfare of residents in the region.

"We bring the vision towards North Bengkulu to advance great, prosperous and happy by increasing economic growth," said Arie as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, November 16.

To improve people's welfare, his party wants to accelerate inclusive sustainable economic growth.

Then, he said, realizing the acceleration of socio-cultural transformation based, improving the quality of human resources, and realizing the acceleration of integrated infrastructure development, and realizing the acceleration of the transformation of governance and good public services.

In addition, related to fighting the empty box in the November 27, 2024, Arie asked the public to participate.

"We convince the public to participate in this election, namely by continuing to debate. We hope that the participation of the people of North Bengkulu Regency will reach 90 percent of their voting rights, for that I invite the public to participate in coming to the TPS," said Arie.

Meanwhile, North Bengkulu Regency KPU chairman Santoso said that at the public debate held only once.

This is because North Bengkulu Regency only has one candidate pair, so the public debate that is being held is the sharpening of the vision and mission through the question method raised by panelists.

"In principle, it is the same as the method of public debate carried out in other regions, it's just that in North Bengkulu Regency because they have one candidate pair, there is no interaction between candidate pairs," he said.
