Chairman Of The Bogor City DPRD: Encourage Generation Z To Be More Active In Politics
BOGOR Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, highlighted the low level of participation of Generation Z in politics. For this reason, he encourages legislatures to build effective communication with Generation Z, which is closer to technology and digitization so that young people participate in politics.
This was explained by Adit in an interview quoted from the YouTube Channel Political Content, Friday, November 15, he emphasized the importance of the role of the younger generation in the political process and regional development.
"We hope that the youth of the city of Bogor will be more active as a development actor, maybe what I feel so far is that when as a member of the DPRD, there are often discussions, eh, then sharing a session with young people, right now our young people are really concerned about politics, that's low. I've asked who wants to be a politician in front of the um, no one wants to," said Adit.
Adityawarman also emphasized the importance of building effective communication with Generation Z, which is more familiar with technology and digitization.
"We have to convey relevant and interesting programs for them. Social media is a very effective bridge to touch their lives," he added.
In the context of the development of Bogor City, Adityawarman expressed his commitment to community welfare, especially through programs that support MSME players.
"Economic stimulus, business assistance, and opening wider market access are our priority to accelerate the economic growth of the community," he explained.
He also conveyed the importance of the concept of sustainable development that combines social, economic and environmental aspects.
"The development of Bogor City's infrastructure must consider environmental sustainability. We want Bogor City to grow harmoniously and sustainably," he said.
As part of Generation Z's attractive efforts, the Bogor City DPRD plans to launch special programs, such as the development of international standard sports facilities and support for digital startups.
The young generation must realize that politics is not only a matter of power, but also a means to create positive changes for the community. They are the main actors in the nation's development," said Adityawarman.
He also closed his statement with an invitation for cross-sectoral collaboration. We must work together, both local governments and the community, to create policies that have a real impact. Collaboration is the key to success," he concluded.
It is hoped that with the increasing number of Generation Zs actively involved in politics, governance will become more inclusive, relevant, and adaptive to changes in the times.
