Raffi Ahmad And Other Officials With A Background Of Artists Asked By KPK To Be Careful When Receiving Endorse
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminds officials, such as Raffi Ahmad, who is now the Presidential Special Envoy to members of the DPR with a careful background of artists when receiving endorsements. Do not let them become entangled in gratification.
"For friends who are just currently joining the state administrators to be careful, do not accept income that can cause conflict of interest or become part of gratification," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, November 15.
Tessa said that officials who used to be artists certainly had the option to accept or not an endorsement. However, they must remember that there are obligations and limits that need to be considered by each state administrator.
"One of the (obligations) to report LHKPN, reporting gratuities if it is accepted. Including endorsements," he said
"The point of view is that if the endorsement becomes a conflict of interest, the acceptance will make the person concerned held hostage if he is going to do certain things or make policies, encourage policies that benefit other parties, that is what needs to be considered," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.
As previously reported, artist Raffi Ahmad, who is now the Presidential Special Envoy, said he was still receiving endorsements. He admitted that he did not know that there were rules that prohibited him and his position was a non-structural position.
"Still, yes, there is no prohibition and if I am in a cabinet, but it is non-structural. Non-structural, yes, we have another work program to do," said Raffi Ahmad in the Melawai area, South Jakarta, Thursday, November 14.
Meanwhile, Raffi Ahmad was inaugurated on Tuesday, October 22 yesterday to immediately report his wealth. This position is included in the ranks of state officials because it has strategic functions as regulated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 137 of 2024.
