SLB Student In Tanjung Priok Dies After Hitting School Door

JAKARTA - A State SLB 9 student from Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta with the initials WD died after hitting a door and then falling, at a school in the Sunter area, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Friday, November 15.

"Siswi WD died while walking and then hit the door and fell," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Police, Iptu Tomy Brian Hutomo, ANTARA, Friday, November 15, 2024.

He said the victim was on the top floor walking and then hit the classroom door and fell.

"According to the witness, the incident occurred during a break at around 09.17 WIB. The victim had a seizure and fainted," explained Brian.

Iptu Brian said from the testimony of witnesses, the teacher only found out that WD had fallen after receiving a complaint from a student who reported that WD was unconscious after hitting the door and falling.

"The teacher immediately went to the location and saw WD's condition and took him to the UKS room to provide first aid but was still unconscious," Brian explained.

Furthermore, the victim was immediately rushed to the Sulianti Saroso Hospital (RS). However, upon arrival at the hospital, WD was declared dead.

From the results of the examination, there were several wounds on WD's body. Among them, swelling on the chin, three upper teeth in front of the broken, tongue bleeding.

"We ensure that there are no blunt object scars or sharp weapons (sajam) on WD's body," he said.
