Netzme Launches QRIS Center In Surakarta, Safe Solution For MSME Progress

JAKARTA Based on data from Bank Indonesia and reports from the Indonesian Payment Systems Association (ASPI) in 2024, the use of QRIS in Central Java continues to increase and shows rapid growth in QRIS adoption and is the province with the third most QRIS users in Indonesia.

Until August 2024, according to Bank Indonesia data, the volume of QRIS transactions rose to 217.33% year-on-year and the number of QRIS merchants increased to 33.77 million.

However, this development is also accompanied by challenges, particularly related to security, such as fraudulent screenshots of fake transactions and changes to QRIS code by irresponsible parties that harm consumers and MSMEs.

In order to support MSMEs in Central Java, PT Netzme Kreasi Indonesia (Netzme) launched the MSME QRIS Center in Surakarta.

This center will serve as a safe education center and QRIS solution for micro, small and medium enterprises, as well as a Netzme Hub for the Central Java region so that they can collaborate with more stakeholders in the field of MSME development and empowerment.

The MSME QRIS center with Netzme was here to help MSME players understand the importance of security in digital transactions through various training, socialization and education programs in collaboration with various MSME associations, to provide more for MSMEs, especially related to solutions to protect businesses from the risk of QRIS fraud.

In addition, this MSME QRIS Center can be an inspiration for innovation and collaboration in the economic sector, as well as strengthen economic resilience in facing global challenges in the digital era," said Hapsari in a written statement.

Head of the MSME Empowerment and Development Division, Cooperatives Service, Surakarta Industry SMEs Rini Indriyani said, with the presence of Netzme as a platform for the development of MSMEs in Solo with a focus on the use of digital platforms to increase transactions and security. MSMEs can also understand the importance of digital payment in facilitating transactions for MSMEs and encouraging them to adapt to the digital world.

"In 2023, it shows that the number of MSMEs in Solo will reach around 13,203 MSMEs, with projections increasing to around 14 thousand by 2024. In addition, there are about 25 MSME communities in Solo that can collaborate together in this MSME QRIS Center, which is expected to increase awareness of the ease and security of digital," said Rini.

Djamin Nainggolan, Director of the Indonesian Payment Systems Association (ASPI), in his speech said that the potential growth of MSMEs in Indonesia is still large and the importance of adopting modern payment technology such as QRIS to increase business turnover, with the hope that MSMEs can take full advantage of this opportunity using the payment system from Bank Indonesia in creating a faster, easier, and secure system.

QRIS Soundbox Netzme is a technology specifically designed for MSMEs to receive voice notifications and a live nominal display when the payment receipt transaction QRIS is successful.

With QRIS Soundbox, traders no longer need to be bothered by checking transactions through the application and even asking for transaction screenshots from customers, making the transaction process more practical and safe, and providing convenience for customers.

The MSME QRIS center will also be open to various business institutions that want to collaborate on strategic partnerships (B2B) with Netzme, to further strengthen the MSME digital ecosystem in Central Java.
