Kumamoto Japan Masters 2024: Indonesian Men's Doubles Already Have One Final Ticket
JAKARTA The Indonesian men's doubles sector must have one ticket for the final round at the 2024 Japanese Kumamoto Masters after two couples were confirmed to meet in the semifinals.
Of the two representatives, Leo Rolly Carnando / Bagas Maulana first confirmed the ticket to the semifinals of the BWF Super 500 level event.
The Korean Open 2024 champion qualified after stopping the Chinese pair, Chen Bo Yang/Liu Yi, with the final score of 21-15 and 21-15 at Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium, Kumamoto, Japan, on Friday, November 15, 2024, afternoon WIB.
Leo/Bagas selanjutnya akan bersua dengan komatriot mereka Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, yang menang atas Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin.
"Alhamdulillah, we can go to the semifinals. For tomorrow (16 November 2024) against our own friends. No problem, the most important thing is that the men's doubles have confirmed a place in the final," Leo said in the statement.

This is the fourth semifinal for Leo/Daniel since being overhauled from the previous formation. Of the four opportunities, only one of them managed to penetrate the final and won.
Bagas said that they did not actually set any targets in this tournament. He emphasized that he and Leo just wanted to be able to play as well as possible.
"We came here with a target that was not grandiose, it had to be semifinals or something. We just wanted to play well in the field," he said.
On the other hand, this is the second consecutive semifinal that Fajar/Rian has stepped on. Previously, the former world number one reached the same round at the Denmark Open 2024, but failed to reach the final.
