Cak Imin Visits Patients With Mental Disorders Due To Online Gambling At RSCM
Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (Menko PM) Muhaimin Iskandar visited patients with psychological disorders due to gambling addiction at the Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital (RSCM) Jakarta.
"My arrival, specifically to understand and see fully in terms of health, both mentally and physically the victims of gambling," he said during a visit at RSCM, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Friday, November 15.
Cak Imin, as he is familiarly called, emphasized that he will prioritize the aspect of developing the welfare prospects of individuals and the community in living his life.
One of them, he continued, is in the health aspect in the form of mental and mental health, where the process starts from addiction to then damage to the mindset and lifestyle.
Muhaimin emphasized that the online gambling could cause the parties involved, both as players and managers, to destroy all joints of their lives, both the joints of the socio-psychological economy and their families.
"There are so many victims, we have just heard that in North Sumatra people sell their children in various places with criminal acts due to charges of gambling," he said.
Muhaimin emphasized that his party is committed to suppressing and resolving gambling problems through coordination with various relevant ministries and institutions.
He also invited all parties to work hand in hand in overcoming the problems he considered a national social disaster.
Because, he said, gambling has ensnared no less than 8.8 million Indonesians who are victims and perpetrators, of which Rp900 trillion flows abroad every year because of this.
"Mr. President Prabowo emphasized that everyone must be alert to overcome this gambling line," said Muhaimin Iskandar.
