Ridwan Kamil Reveals 12 Steps To Overcome Jakarta's Pollution, There Are WFHs To Dew Trucks

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta number 01, Ridwan Kamil revealed 12 accurate moves to overcome Jakarta pollution so that its air quality is according to WHO standards. He said he would discuss with NGOs and interested parties to make the air quality in Jakarta better.

To note, the air pollution parameters in Jakarta are above 60 mag/m2. Meanwhile, the WHO standard is three times lower than that or 20 mag/m2.

"Our concept is DKI, Decentralization, Collaboration, and Innovation. I need collaboration from various parties including civil society to realize my ideas in reducing pollution," said Ridwan Kamil in his statement, Friday, November 15.

The 12 policies of Ridwan Kamil to overcome pollution problems if he is trusted to lead Jakarta, first, clean up spatial planning by presenting a live work play 1 zone.

"We want to present a new culture, how residents remain productive but have minimal mobility. The mindset must be new, to be productive, there must no longer be a lot of mobility. Therefore, I want to increase the office zone in many places in Jakarta," he said.

Second, managing transportation or expanding public transportation. In the future, said Ridwan Kamil, TransJakarta operations will be expanded to agglomeration areas such as Bogor, Bekasi, and Tangerang.

"Because, the data states that there are about 2 million people passing by in Jakarta to earn a living," he said.

Third, make policies related to electric vehicles. Fourth, make arrangements for working time.

"Among other things, by presenting a work from home policy," said the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil.

Fifth, enforce policies on emission tests. Sixth, carry green governance by increasing tree planting activities.

"We are targeting that in five years we can plant 3 million trees in the hope of reducing Jakarta's temperature by about 2 degrees," he explained.

Seventh, carrying out a pro green space policy. According to Emil, in Jakarta there is still a lot of space that can be used into green space.

"I want it to be as long as the plot has not been built, the DKI Provincial Government will borrow the land for use, build green land," he said.

Eighth, presenting a rooftop garden. Emil said, in the future, flat buildings will be required to be planted with trees.

Ninth, carrying out technology so that the policies taken are in accordance with existing data. Ten, present dew trucks.

Eleven, carrying out renewable energy-based power plants. Finally, carry out a budget system to realize the climate budget.

"This dew truck has been carried out in China. Every morning, this truck is tasked with spraying H2O to reduce the particles that cause pollution. This method certainly requires technology so that decisions can be taken wisely and according to existing data," concluded the former Governor of West Java.
