Japanese Coach Reminds About Indonesian National Team Supporters Militants
JAKARTA The coach of the Japanese national team, Hajime Moriyasu, realized that the duel against the Indonesian national team would be difficult because it was an away match.
The Indonesian vs Japan duel will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 19.00 WIB.
The Garuda squad will be fully supported by supporters who are known as militants. Not surprisingly, Moriyasu assessed that the Indonesian national team players would receive extraordinary injections of enthusiasm that would make it difficult for their troops.
"Tomorrow's match against Indonesia is an away match for us so it will definitely be difficult," said Hajime Moriyasu.
The status as the host slightly benefits the Indonesian national team. Moreover, tickets for this duel have been sold out.
On paper, Japan is clearly far more favored. However, the strength of the Garuda Squad also cannot be underestimated.
In addition to being strengthened by many naturalized players, the motivation of the Indonesian national team to get points at home is worthy of being watched out for.
Japan is actually not zero support. The latest report states that around 3,000 supporters are ready to support the Blue Samurai.
Therefore, Hajima Moriyasu said tomorrow's match would be an interesting spectacle because both teams would perform optimally.
"Our players are very ready to fight Indonesia so we will bring out all our best capabilities," said the coach.
The matchday between Japan and Indonesia is the fifth matchday of Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian Zone.
Currently Japan sits at the top of the standings with a collection of 10 points. Of the four matches they have played, three of them ended in wins and the other finished in a draw.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian national team has only collected three points from the same number of matches from the results of three draws and one defeat.
