Dankorbrimob Polri Denies Attorney General's Statement Regarding AGO's Extinction

The Commander of the Brimob Corps (Dankorbrimob) of the National Police, Komjen Imam Widodo, said that Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin's statement in a joint working meeting with Commission III of the DPR regarding the siege by his party was not true.

"Nothing. Just FREE. Nothing," said Imam after attending the 79th Anniversary of the Police Mobile Brigade Corps, in Depok City, West Java, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 14.

Komjen Imam emphasized that all parties are the same, namely no one is superior and strengthens each other.

"All these ministries/agencies strengthen each other. That's all true. So there is no name for us (to siege the Prosecutor's Office). It's just a framing," he explained.

According to Komjen Imam, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has answered the issue in a working meeting with the DPR.

"We are not standing alone, but we are part of the Indonesian National Police. So, what is the statement of the National Police Chief, yes, that is what we will carry out," he said.

Previously, the Attorney General in a working meeting acknowledged that the siege of the Attorney General's Office was carried out by members of the Brimob Polri.

"The Brimob person who was caught by us, we handed it over to the National Police Headquarters, and we are no longer monitoring that matter," said the Attorney General.

Meanwhile, the National Police Chief in a working meeting with Commission III of the DPR on Monday (11/11), explained that the issue of the siege was not true.

"It's just a framing. I don't know, but what's clear, it's part of an attempt to clash with the institution," said the National Police Chief.
