Theft Of Water Pump Cables In Underpass Angkasa Potential Floods In Kemayoran

Head of the Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept., Muhammad Soleh, emphasized that the impact of the theft of pump cables that occurred at the Angkasa Kemayoran underpass could cause the area to be flooded when the rainy season arrived.

"We are worried about this (if) heavy rain, of course we are worried about flooding in this underpass," Soleh told VOI, Thursday, November 14.

His party immediately repaired the pump at the underpass of Angkasa Kemayoran after the cable theft incident.

"That's why we take quick action, so that this can be used quickly after we fix it as soon as possible. We immediately check technically, we try to find the cable we need and replace it. So that it can function immediately," he said.

As is known, the pump cable at the underpass of Angkasa Kemayoran Jalan Angkasa Pump Air, Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, was stolen by thieves, Wednesday, November 13.

The cable is known to belong to the Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department. The perpetrators stole 4 pieces of 2 meter cable and 4 pieces of cable measuring 5.5 meters of water pump in the Angkasa underpass.

The perpetrator entered a water pump on Jalan Angkasa Pump Air Underpass Angkasa, Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

"The perpetrator damaged the entrance to the water pump by turning off the MCB first, then cutting the water pump cable," said Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Agung Ardiansyah, Wednesday, November 13.

The perpetrator peels the cable that has been cut and cut the cable using a tool.

"The victim has made a report. Two witnesses were examined, they were workers from the water pump operator," he said.
