The US Government Committed To Support Prabowo's Free Nutrition Eating Program

JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto met the President of the United States Joe Biden, where at the meeting Biden expressed his country's support for the free nutritious food program for students at the school launched by Prabowo.

The meeting took place at the White House, Washington DC, on Tuesday local time. Biden's statement was published in the Joint Statement or joint statement after the Biden-Prabowo meeting which was uploaded on the official White House or White House website, Wednesday, November 13.

"President Biden also expressed his support for Indonesia's national program to provide nutritious and healthy food for school children and pregnant women," the White House wrote.

In addition, Prabowo and Biden are also committed to advancing health cooperation to advance clinical research, public health, and health systems to address newly emerging and chronic health conditions, as well as infectious diseases, including tuberculosis.

The two heads of state also welcomed the signing of a high-level Memorandum of Understanding on health between Indonesia and the US in the future.

"This effort underscores the strong commitment of the two countries to collaborate to realize the goals of Indonesia's health transformation," wrote the White House.
