Police Confiscate 16 Pots Containing 40 Cannabis Plants Planted On The Temple Of The House

JAKARTA - The hydroponic cannabis plantation raid in the Cengkareng area began with information from the public who reported suspicious activities at the scene.

Based on the report, the joint apparatus of the West Jakarta Metro Police and the Cengkareng Police conducted an investigation and found that the house was often used as a place for drug transactions.

"When officers arrived at the location, the two perpetrators were in the room of the house," said Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKBP Chandra Mata Rohansyah when confirmed, Wednesday, November 13.

After introducing themselves as police officers, the police conducted a search and found a black bag hanging behind the bedroom door.

"In the bag there are 19 packs of marijuana packages, one bundle of papir mild, and a pot cap filled with dried marijuana stored in a cupboard," he said.

When inspecting the surrounding area, the police also found 16 pots containing 40 marijuana trees planted on the roof of the house.

In addition, officers also found a bottle of Bio Primano liquid medicine which was used as organic fertilizer.

"8 bottles of water were confiscated from the septic tank which was used as a liquid for fertilizer for cannabis plants," he said.

The results of the examination, the two perpetrators admitted that all the evidence belonged to them. Both also admitted that the cannabis plant had been harvested several times and sold to buyers.

"From the information from the perpetrators we received, the marijuana leaves have been sold several times by the perpetrators," he said.

The perpetrator sold the cannabis from cultivation to a person known for Rp. 50,000 to 100,000 per package

To account for their actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 114 Paragraph (1) subsidiary to Article 111 Paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"The threat of punishment that can be imposed on the perpetrators is a maximum sentence of life imprisonment," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the West Jakarta Metro Police and the Cengkareng Police raided a house that was used as a marijuana plantation on Peddongkelan Street Behind RT 02/016, Kapuk Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, Wednesday, November 13.

The cannabis plant is grown hydroponically using a polybag pot planting medium or plastic pot.
