Police Raid Houses In Cengkareng Turned Into Cannabis 'Back'

West Jakarta Metro Police and Cengkareng Police raided a house that was used as a marijuana plantation on Peddongkelan Street Behind RT 02/016, Kapuk Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, Wednesday, November 13.

The cannabis plant is grown hydroponically using a polybag pot planting medium. The perpetrator, who is a cannabis farmer, deliberately cultivates marijuana plants in his yard.

However, the perpetrator's actions were successfully smelled by members of the joint West Jakarta Metro Police and Cengkareng Police.

Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKBP Chandra Mata Rohansyah, explained that the disclosure of this case was part of the National Police's commitment to support the 7th Presidential Asta Cita program, as directed by the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol M Syahduddi.

"This is the Police's effort to strengthen political, legal and bureaucratic reform and strengthen the prevention and eradication of corruption, drugs, gambling and smuggling," said AKBP AKBP Chandra when confirmed, Wednesday, November 13.

The police arrested the suspect, who is the owner of a cannabis plantation with the initials AJ (36) and A.

"The perpetrator carried out processing of cannabis plants through a pot medium that had been running for more than a year," he said.

In addition, the police also confiscated a number of evidences, including 10 pots that planted about 40 cannabis trees ready for harvest as high as approximately 30 cm - 100 cm.

"Then 19 packs of marijuana packages ready for distribution with a total weight of 74 grams, 1 pot cap containing dried marijuana weighing 280 grams, 8 bottles of water from septic tanks used as plant medicine and 1 bottle of Bio Primano liquid medicine for organic fertilizer," he said.

In addition, the police confiscated 1 sprayer and 1 bundle of midpirical cigarettes for rolled cigarettes. After a urine check, the perpetrator was positive for drugs.

"The perpetrator is positive for using drugs," he said.
