Astra Infra Targets 12 Percent Increase in Vehicle Volume During Long Christmas and New Year Holidays
JAKARTA - Astra Infra Toll Road is targeting a 12 percent increase in vehicle volume ahead of the long Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2025 holiday.
Astra Tol Cipali Management Operations Department Head Prayogi Setyo Utomo explained that the increase is targeted to increase moderately compared to the same period last year.
"If 2023 is compared to 2022, we realized a 12 percent increase. So, this year we should be optimistic that it will be higher than 12 percent," said Prayogi when met at the Cipali Toll Command Center, West Java, quoted on Wednesday, November 13.
Yogi also ensured that the traffic volume during the Christmas and New Year moment will remain high even though its implementation will be close to the momentum of the long Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Considering, the difference between the Christmas and New Year moment and Eid al-Fitr 2025 is only three months, where Eid al-Fitr is projected to fall on April 1 next year.
"It is true, Christmas and New Year is quite close to Eid. However, if we look at the history of the past 2-3 years for Christmas and New Year, there should still be an increase. But later we can see again from another side, maybe the daily (could decrease compared to the previous year or not)," he said.
Meanwhile, in order to welcome the momentum of the Christmas and New Year and Eid holidays in 2025, Astra Tol Cipali is also targeting the construction of the widening of the Cipali Toll Road lanes at KM 87 to KM 110 to be completed in December.
Corporate Communications & Sustainability Management Department Head of Astra Tol Cipali Ardam Rafif Trisilo said that the construction project for widening the lane is planned to be stopped on D-10 Christmas and New Year.
"The target for completion is definitely in early December. So, before D-10 Christmas and New Year, all projects must be stopped. Well, that is our maximum target (the project work is completed)," he said.
