Serving 3.5 Million Passengers, Pasar Senen Becomes The Most Populous Station In 2024

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that there are 10 stations with the highest number of passengers up and down for long-distance trains (KA) for the period January to October 2024.

Pasar Senen Station occupies the first position with 3,589,145 long-distance train passengers.

Meanwhile, passengers who disembarked at Pasar Senen Station reached 3,091,590 passengers.

Then, in second place is Gambir Station with passenger meetings rising to 2,531,864 people.

The number of passengers falling at Gambir Station reached 2,355,125 people.

Furthermore, Yogyakarta Station with the number of passengers riding reached 2,450,955 people. Meanwhile, the number of passengers falling at Yogyakarta Station reached 2,396,462 people.

KAI Vice President of Public Relations Anne Purba revealed that this year the number of passengers at many stations was seen, this shows that public enthusiasm for train services is increasing.

"This increase in the number of passengers has spurred us to continue to innovate in improving station facilities and services, in order to make trains the main choice for transportation," Anne said in an official statement, Wednesday, November 13.

From January to October 2024, KAI Group has served 378,998,962 passengers. The details are 42,767,683 passengers managed by KAI, 309,694,220 passengers managed by KAI Commuter.

Furthermore, as many as 16,858,617 passengers managed by the Jabodebek LRT, 4,889,754 passengers managed by KCIC, 4,667,314 passengers managed by KAI Airport, and 121,374 passengers managed by KAI Wisata.

He said the high public trust in rail transportation modes could be utilized by brands that wanted to partner with KAI.

"KAI opens opportunities for companies to cooperate in branding programs at stations, trains and naming rights (names) throughout the Java and Sumatra KAI Group regions," he explained.

Anne explained that later the name of the partner's brand will be applied in various mentions, both audio and visuals in various media such as signs, wayfinding, lane maps, announcements, and various other publications related to the station.
