JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) is adding to its electric car line-up in Indonesia, by bringing the Chery J6 or what was introduced under the name iCar 03 at GIIAS 2024 last July.

The model that will be launched at the 2024 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) event at the end of November, is claimed to be quite well received by the Indonesian people, as evidenced by the fact that hundreds of units have been ordered.

"For the Vehicle Order Letter (SPK), there are currently more than 300," said Sales Director of PT CSI, Budi Darmawan, when met in the Depok area, West Java, Tuesday, November 12.

Budi further said that the number of J6 orders is increasing, especially since this off-road SUV car will be launched soon, and the price is also estimated to be around IDR 500-600 million

"SPK speed collection is getting higher because customers hear that we will be launching soon, and the price range is also according to expectations," he added.

In terms of specifications, the Chery J6 car is designed with a height of 1,855 mm and a length of 4,338 mm with a shorter wheelbase and front and rear bumpers, which can create a wider angle for maneuvering on damaged roads.

This car is also equipped with 8 driving modes plus the X driving mode, which of the 8 modes can be combined, making this car even more reliable in every situation and condition.

Later for the Indonesian market there will be an RWD drive with a battery capacity of 65.69 kWh with a range of up to 426 in NEDC calculations. In this variant, the car uses one electric motor placed on the rear wheels which is capable of producing 184 hp and 220 Nm of torque.
