Mami Fera Was Taken To The South Jakarta Police After Recruiting 2 Minors To Be Made LC In Blok M

JAKARTA - Fera Watiningsih alias Lala (42), a'mami' who employs two minors to guide karaoke or Lady Companion (LC) at a nightclub in Blok M area, South Jakarta. What Mami Fera did violate the law, for the crime of trafficking in persons (TPPO). Mami Fera was finally taken to the South Jakarta Metro Police (Jaksel).

Mami Fera was proven to have employed underage girls, namely AF (16) and NM (16) as LC at Karaoke Camel Eon.

The arrest of FW was led by the Head of Crime at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Akp Hary Dinar and the Head of Subunit VC Metro Jaya Police, Ipda Adithya Aji Pratama.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Akbp Gogo Galesung, said that the arrest of the perpetrator of the TIP began with the arrival of the AF victim to Karaoke Camel Eon on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

At that time, the minor asked Mami FW for a job.

"Starting on September 1, AF's sister came to Camel Eon Karaoke, South Jakarta, to find a job and meet with sister FW and meet on the 3rd floor of Room 10 where she dressed up at Camel Eon Karaoke," Gogo said at a press conference at the South Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

Mami Fera consciously knows the ABG status. However, even though it is known that ABG is still a minor, Mami Fera still offers both jobs as LC.

Mami Fera lured AF to be paid Rp800,000 per 12 hours.

"Sister FW as Mami at that time explained that every call for cash gets Rp. 70,000 per hour, every day gets a minimum of 3 hours, sometimes more and sometimes less," said Gogo.

"Gaji dibayar pada awal bulan pada tanggal 1 atau tanggal 2 dan mendapatkan salary tiap bulan dari calling cash setidak-tidaknya Rp 800,000 per 12 jam," bebernya.

Lured at the wage, the ABG agreed.

On the same day, AF was asked to immediately accompany karaoke guests for 3 hours.

After AF's return from Karaoke Came Eon, AF then invited his friend, NM to work.

AF then introduced NM to Mami FW who immediately accepted him from work.

"NM alias M was interviewed by the manager and explained his work. He was asked about his age, NM's sister admitted that he was 17 years old and on that same day NM's sister was immediately accepted for work," said Gogo.

For this crime, Mami FW was named a TIP suspect because she employed a minor and made exploitation.

Mami FW was charged with Article 2 of Law No. 21 of 2007 concerning TIP and Article 88 in conjunction with Article 76 of Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning child protection.

"Working for minors or exploiting, and the second exploiting children economically or sexually with 8 pieces of Calling Cash from Camel Eon in pink, 2 photocopies of birth certificates, 2 family cards, and 2 student cards," he said.

Along with this, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Hary Dinar, said that his party had also uncovered other TIP cases.

This time, the TIP case occurred at Karaoke Jawa Club.

His party arrested a manager with the initials Y for employing a minor as a waitress.

"In Karaoke, Java-Java, we have secured one manager with the initials Y. There the person concerned employs one underage woman who is still 17 initials N as a waiter," said Hary.
