Supporting The Smoothness Of The Nataru Holiday, Astra Targets The Cipali Toll Road Widening Project To Be Completed In December 2024

PT Astra Tol Cikopo Palimanan (Cikopo) is trying to accelerate the construction of the Cipali Toll Road widening, precisely at KM 87 to KM 110.

Corporate Communications & Sustainability Management Department Head of Cipali Toll Road Ardam Rafif Trisilo said the construction of the lane widening is targeted to be completed in 2024 to support smooth traffic flow ahead of the 2025 Christmas and New Year holidays (Nataru).

"The target is complete in early December. So, right, before the D-10 Nataru, all projects must be stopped. Well, that's our maximum target (the project work is completed)," said Ardam when met at Rest Area 130A Cipali Toll Road, West Java, Tuesday, November 12.

However, Ardam is still reluctant to specify the total expenditure of the company or capital expenditure (capex) disbursed for the process of widening the lane.

Ardam only ensures that the widening of the lane is carried out in order to improve the minimum service standards (SPM) of the Cipali Toll Road. As for now, Astra Infra has widened the lane at a number of points.

It is known that in 2023, there are five points that have been widened, namely at KM 72, KM 87, KM 101, KM 102 and KM 130.

Thus, the total length of the segment widened by the lane reaches 41.2 kilometers (km). The details, along 18.2 km, have been expanded in 2023 and the remaining 23 km are targeted for completion in December 2024.

Along with the fulfillment of this increase, the Cipali Toll Rate has also recently increased. The increase in the Trans Java Toll Road (JTT) network tariff has been in effect since October 30, 2024 starting at 00.00 WIB.

"So, yesterday as of October 30 (October) the Cipali Toll Road had finished the tariff adjustment, this was in order to meet the SPM," he said.

The Cipali Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) ensures that the tariff increase has received the blessing of the Ministry of Public Works as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing concerning Adjustment of Toll Tariffs and Stipulation of Motor Vehicle Classes on the Cikampek Toll Road Section Number 2789/KPTS/M/2024.

In the details, the furthest tariff for the Cikopo to Palimanan sections, which was originally IDR 119,000, has increased to IDR 132,000 for class I vehicles. This means that the tariff increase reached 10 percent from the original price.
