Francesco Totti Agrees With Ivan Juric's Dismissal

JAKARTA - The Italian and AS Roma legend, Francesco Totti, has not yet opened his voice regarding the chaos in the Giallorossi after the dismissal of Ivan Juric on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

However, he left a subtle signal that he approved the sacking of Juric, who had only packed four wins in 12 AS Roma matches in all competitions.

Francesco Totti was caught liking the Instagram post of former Giallorossi President Rosella Sensi about the dismissal of Ivan Juric.

Sensi's upload, which became President of AS Roma between 2008-2011, contains a long statement regarding his disappointment at seeing the Giallorossi under Juric's tutelage.

"Seeing my beloved Roma lose again makes me crazy, but makes me something at the same time. There are many things I don't understand."

"I think it's time for owners to show us the way they want to go in the future and what we're waiting for after Juric."

"Many people ask me what I'm going to do now. It's not easy, I guarantee it."

"We've had difficult times in the past, but we've always respected Roma fans because I'm sure the Friedkin family will."

"I hope the future will be better. Starting tomorrow, we will start on a new journey that consists of joy and victory," Sensi wrote in a post she liked.

Ivan Juric has the shortest tenure. He replaced Daniele De Rossi on September 18, 2024, which means he only worked for about two months.

Meanwhile, silence also enveloped all AS Roma players after the dismissal of Ivan Jurci.

None of the Giallorossi players publicly acknowledged or responded to the sacking of the coach.

This seems to corroborate rumors about a cracked relationship in the dressing room.

Since the beginning of his term of office, Juric faces the difficult challenges of replacing De Rossi both inside and outside the training field.

Roma started this season with disappointing results, but players are reportedly enjoying a very close relationship with De Rossi.

When De Rossi was sacked after leading four games this season, many of the team's most prominent players openly wished the Giallorossi legend all the best.

Paulo Dybala added that sometimes football is unfair. While Stephan El Shaarawy and Bryan Cristante also expressed their sympathy.

However, less than two months later, the same treatment was not given to Juric. None of the first-team players prayed for the Croatian sal coach or sent any messages after his dismissal.

Juric was officially given an order to step down on Sunday, November 10, 2024, after his team lost 2-3 at the Olimpico against Bologna.

AS Roma have won only one of the previous six Serie A matches. The Giallorossi currently sit in 12th place in the Serie A standings with 13 points from their 12 opening games for the 2024/2025 season.

AS Roma officials are currently looking for a new manager who is scheduled to be announced on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, local time.

A number of names emerged as replacement candidates, ranging from Roberto Mancini, Massimiliano Allegri, Edin Terzic, Frank Lampard, Paulo Sousa, Graham Potter, to repatriating Rudi Garcia and Daniele De Rossi.
