Elementary School Teacher Shot Dead BY KKB Papua, Regent Willem Angry: These Are The Ones Who Teach Children To Read, Write!

JAKARTA - Papua Peak Regent Willem Wandik condemned the shooting that killed an elementary school teacher in Julugoma, Beoga District, Puncak District, Oktovianus Rayo (42). The shooting was carried out by an Armed Criminal Group (KKB).

"I strongly condemn because it is their existence that allows children to read, write and count," said Willem Wandik in Jayapura, Papua reported from Antara, Friday, April 9.

Willem Wandik said the school teacher's shooting was the first case in Puncak District. He hopes similar action doesn't happen again.

"This is the first case in Puncak during my time as regent and hope it does not happen again because their presence is very meritorious to improve the quality of the younger generation," wandik said.

He asked the Puncak Police to investigate and investigate the case thoroughly.

The presence of KKB has been monitored since the end of March when there was a dispute in Julugoma village. The public is asked to report to the authorities if they hear or see KKB.

State civil servants both teachers, medical personnel are also asked to increase vigilance.

The late Oktovianus Rayo (42 years old) served daily at SD Jambul, Beoga District, about three kilometers from Julugoma village. Until this news was revealed Oktovianus Rayo's body was still buried in the Beoga Health Center, awaiting evacuation.
