Free Schools To Handling Floods Entering The Jakarta Provincial Government Priority Program In 2025
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi revealed a number of priority programs prepared in the 2025 DKI Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) draft.
The DKI Provincial Government and the DKI Jakarta DPRD have agreed on a regional budget (RAPBD) plan for 2025 of IDR 91.14 trillion. This value increased by IDR 6 trillion or 6.97 percent from the APBD for the 2024 fiscal year of IDR 85.20 trillion.
Teguh explained that next year's priority programs include free private schools, free nutritious food, proper housing provision, green open space provision, public transportation, stunting handling, waste management, and flood prevention.
Regarding the free private school program, which is planned to take place for the 2025/2026 school year, Teguh admitted that the DKI Provincial Government is still studying and regulations that support its implementation.
"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is focused on the free private school program in order to provide equitable education services for all levels of society in accordance with applicable regulations," Teguh said, quoted on Tuesday, November 12.
Then, for the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) it will be given based on the combination of data on beneficiaries by periodic verification and evaluation of Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and easing of the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty (P3KE).
In the free nutritious dining program, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is still waiting for implementation instructions to be issued by the central government.
"The provincial government has conducted trials of this program through an Additional Food Supply program in the form of food products made from local foods that are high in animal protein, involving MSMEs," explained Teguh.
In addition, in the arrangement of slum RWs, activities to improve the quality of settlements will continue to be carried out so that slum pockets in DKI Jakarta continue to decrease.
"We also continue to strive in the management of Green Open Space (RTH) in accordance with the Regional Development Plan (RPD) target of 0.009 percent or equivalent to hectares per year," he said.
In the construction of public transportation, the DKI Provincial Government will increase the coverage of public transportation services by increasing the number of transportation networks, among others, through the construction of extensive construction of the Jakarta MRT, Jakarta LRT, and Transjakarta networks.
"The coverage of public transportation services until October 2024, has reached 84.6 area or 90.5 percent of the population of the people of Jakarta," said Teguh.

In the flood prevention program, the DKI Provincial Government will continue to complete the construction of the 12 km Phase A National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) coastal safety embankment as an effort to overcome the impact of tidal flooding in coastal areas.
"Currently, the construction of reservoirs/situ/embung in various potential locations that function as flood control and raw water sources for clean water is also continuously carried out," he added.
