Police Say 1 Killed And 29 Injured In Collision At KM 92 Cipularang Toll Road
JAKARTA - The police noted that 30 people were victims of a series of accidents on the Cipularang KM 92 toll road. Most of them suffered minor injuries.
"From the data obtained from the Purwakarta Police Chief, 1 victim died and 29 victims were injured," said Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast to VOI, Tuesday, November 12.
Of the dozens of injured victims, 25 of them were confirmed to only suffer minor injuries. While the rest suffered serious injuries.
Currently, dozens of victims have been evacuated to Abdul Rodjak Hospital in Purwakarta.
"Since last night, Police officers from Korlantas Polri, West Java Police Traffic Directorate and Purwakarta Police Traffic Unit as well as toll road managers including crane officers and health teams have succeeded in evacuating injured and dead victims," he said.
Regarding the cause of the accident, the temporary suspicion was triggered by a heavy truck that had failed brakes. So it hit the vehicle in front of it.

Meanwhile, an accident involving a cardboard truck and a private car occurred at KM 92 of the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta at 15.15 WIB.
