Pretending To Be A Guest, A Motorcycle Thief In Kramat Jati Was Beaten By Residents
JAKARTA - A middle-aged man with the initials R (50) was arrested after stealing a motorbike belonging to a resident in the Al-Hidayah Islamic Boarding School Dormitory, Balekambang, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta.
"The perpetrator pretended to be a guest to the victim's house," said Kramat Jati Police Chief, Commissioner Rusit Malaka when confirmed, Monday, November 11.
The perpetrator's actions were caught by the owner of the motorbike until he was shouted at by the thief. Realizing that the action was known, the perpetrator tried to escape, but residents who knew about the incident immediately went after the perpetrator and beat him.
"The perpetrator pushed the victim's motorbike from inside the house to the streets. The victim saw that the motorbike was taken by someone. The victim shouted thief," he said.

Luckily at the same time, the perpetrator was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kramat Jati Police who were conducting mobile patrols.
"The perpetrator was arrested by a member who was in the middle of a mobile. The perpetrator was caught in Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of more than five years in prison," he said.
