Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs: President Prabowo Does Not Direct The State Structure To Win The Paslon
Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan said President Prabowo Subianto did not direct the state structure to win one of the candidate pairs (paslon) in the 2024 Pilkada.
According to Budi, the President's attitude is an example that must be appreciated.
"It is appropriate for us to praise the President, he did not direct the structure of this country to move to win one of the candidate pairs, and leave it entirely to the people who choose any candidate pair," said the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 11.
Budi also considered that the President's endorsement was commonplace, and could be found in various political contests abroad. He also ensured that support did not violate the rule of law.
"From the rule side, what we see is that nothing has been violated. Even in other countries, we see the same bala in a democratic country, for example, like the United States, openly the President endorses a certain candidate pair," said BG.
The Coordinating Minister said that in election contestation such as regional elections, it is natural for each candidate to seek support from the President.
"It's a natural thing in a democratic country, every candidate must try to get support from all parties," said Budi Gunawan.

Budi invited the public to fully listen to the President's statement regarding the support, which in essence the President submitted the final decision to the people as the owner of the vote.
"He emphasized that the final decision to choose a candidate for anyone is in the hands of the people or voters," said Budi Gunawan.
Candidate for Governor of Central Java Ahmad Luthfi on Saturday (9/11) last week uploaded a video of about 5 minutes long on his Instagram account @ahmadluthfi_official which included a statement of Prabowo's support for his candidacy with Taj Yasin in the 2024 Central Java Pilkada.
