National Police Chief: If I Get Online Gambling, Tomorrow I Will Resign
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo expressed his commitment to eradicating online gambling (judol). In fact, the National Police Chief is ready to resign from his position if he is caught involved in the crime business.
The statement was made by the National Police Chief during a meeting with Commission III of the DPR, Monday, November 11.
"We haven't stopped here, indeed we haven't revealed or released it, because it's not finished, sir. So of course if we can complete it related to the network involved in judol, I have already said that we will not hesitate sir to eradicate from the root to the top," said Sigit.
"Even me, sir, if I am caught accepting my judol tomorrow morning, retreat," he continued.
The National Police Chief has also ordered his members to eradicate judol. He also invited Polri members to resign if they were unable to handle online gambling cases.
"So if you don't carry out just two of your colleagues. You get involved, that's the first time, or leave or be afraid. So I think it's your choice if you can't afford it, please back off. It's the same with me," said Sigit.

According to him, the readiness to resign from office is the National Police's commitment to resolve this judol problem. Moreover, there are members of the National Police who are involved, so they do not hesitate to fire.
"And I have ordered internally, to the Head of the Propam Division, to the Kapolda to check every day, so that at least our members who are involved as judol players also stop. Provide guidance ranging from reprimands to sanctions. Then those involved do not hesitate to be processed. I think that's our commitment, "said Sigit.
