Break World Record, This Is What Giant Chicken Hotel Looks Like In The Philippines

JAKARTA - Not long ago, a hotel in the Philippines was in the spotlight, because it had uniqueness. In fact, this hotel won the Guinness Book of World Records award. This is because the hotel is in the form of a giant chicken. In addition, this hotel is called the largest chicken-shaped building in the world.

Reported by VOI from The Straits Times page on Monday, November 11, 2024, this unique hotel is located at the Highland Resort Campuestohan, a local tourist attraction, infeasibility Obcidental Province, central part of the Philippines.

The building has a width of 12 meters, a length of 28 meters and a height of 35 meters. It is about 13 floors of graded buildings, with a height of about 2.6m every floor.

This chicken hotel is the idea of local entrepreneur Ricardo Tan, a hotel called "Manok ni Cano Gwapo" ( Tagalog Language) or " Handsome Cano Ayam". The hotel has 15 air-conditioned rooms equipped with television and large beds that can accommodate large numbers of families or groups of tourists.

According to the Philippine news agency, Philstar, this chicken hotel is equipped with an observation deck, which allows visitors to enjoy the view around. The price of this chicken room starts from 4,500 pesos or IDR 1.2 million per night.

This chicken hotel is located in the city of Talisay. This resort has been operating since 2012 and has wave pools, places to eat, and other accommodations, including cottages and wooden cabins.

"I have a vision to make something extraordinary that can truly leave a trail of admiration in public," said Tan from the official Guinness World Records website.

Tuan Tan described himself as a tracksman and wanted to create something he didn't think of in an article on the Guinness Records website.

When asked why he chose the rooster for the building design, Mr. Tan told the Guinness Book of World Records that it is a form of respect for the growing poultry industry in badminton.

He added that the figure of a calm, authoritative, impressive and powerful male rooster. This reflects the characteristics of the local population.

The conceptualization and project planning took less than six months. The construction began on June 10, 2023, and is planned to be completed on September 8, 2024. Unfortunately, this project is experiencing obstacles, such as storms and the frequent typhoons in the region.
