National Police Chief to Make Gunawan Sadbor Anti-Online Gambling Ambassador

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that he would make Gunawan Sadbor an anti-online gambling ambassador.

Gunawan Sadbor was known to have been arrested for promoting online gambling sites. Currently, his detention has been suspended.

"We are currently suspending Gunawan Sadbor and making him an anti-online gambling ambassador," said Sigit in a meeting with Commission III of the DPR, Monday, November 11.

The decision to make Gunawan Sadbor an anti-online gambling ambassador is because it is believed that he can help in eradicating the practice of gambling.

In addition, it is hoped that it can provide knowledge to the public not to play online gambling.

"The point is for those who do not understand, we make them aware and we make them ambassadors for the anti-gambling campaign, on the other hand, we also use them to explore and develop who the people are behind them," he explained.

Apart from that, Sigit said that from the Gunawan Sadbor case, the Police arrested two suspects behind the online gambling promotion action.

Although he did not explain in detail about the two suspects, such as their identities and others, he said, they played a role as online gambling marketers.

"From Gunawan Sadbor, we developed it and arrested two suspects as the marketing perpetrators who gave gifts to the influencer," said Sigit.
