Jambi Police Arrest Woman Bringing 2.5 Kilograms Of Illegal Gold
JAMBI - A joint team from the Tipidter Sub-Directorate of the Jambi Police Ditreskrimsus and the Sarolangun Police Tipidter Unit arrested a woman who was suspected of carrying 2.5 kilograms of illegal gold from illegal gold mining (PETI).
Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation at the Jambi Police, Kombes Bambang Yugo Pamungkas, said the police found evidence of gold bars with an estimated gross weight of 2.5 kg in the Sarolangun area.
"Currently, the woman who was arrested on Saturday (9/11) has been secured and is being investigated intensively by sub-directorate investigators four," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 11.
The police are still investigating this case to reveal the wider network involved in the illegal gold trade in the region.
