Female Killer In Hotel Room In Semarang Arrested, Admits Offended By Victim's Speech

SEMARANG - Police arrested the perpetrator of the murder of a woman whose body was found under a bed in a hotel in Semarang City, Central Java.

Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar said the EP perpetrator, a resident of Kaliwungu, Semarang Regency, was the victim's date known as Nadia Juni Setya Utami, a resident of Semarang City.

From the results of the examination, he continued, the perpetrator was suspected of killing the victim as a result of being offended by his words.

He explained that the EP suspect dated the victim on November 7, 2024 at a hotel on Jalan Empu Tantular, Semarang City.

According to him, the perpetrator was allegedly offended by the victim's words while in the room.

"The victim was strangled by the perpetrator to death," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 11.

The victim's body was then placed under the bed with the aim of not being found by hotel employees.

After killing the victim, the perpetrator then left the hotel to return to his home in Kaliwungu, Semarang Regency, on November 9, 2024.

When leaving the hotel, the perpetrator said goodbye to the hotel guard on the grounds that he would buy breakfast.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder or Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.

The perpetrator was charged with theft because he had taken away the victim's cell phone.
