Putri Kusuma Wardani Defeats Chinese Representative, Wins 2024 Korea Masters Title

JAKARTA - Indonesia has won one title at the 2024 Korea Masters. This title was won thanks to Putri Kusuma Wardani's struggle in the women's singles.

Appearing in the final round of the 2024 Korea Masters on Sunday, November 10 at noon WIB, Putri successfully won the title after defeating the Chinese representative, Han Qian Xi.

When competing at the Iksan Gymnasium, Putri was able to secure victory through two straight games with a final score of 21-14 and 21-14. Since the beginning of the game, Putri has been able to show dominance.

The 22-year-old women's singles even managed to lead 11-7 over Han Qian Xi in the first game interval. Putri managed to maintain that advantage after the interval until she was able to win the first game with 21-14.

Putri Kusuma's dominance continued in the second game. After leading by seven points in a row, Putri faced tough resistance so that she only led 11-9 in the second game interval.

After the break, Putri was able to control the game and successfully closed the second game with an identical score, 21-14.

The result led Putri Kusuma Wardani to become the champion of the BWF Super 300 tournament. She presented the only title for Indonesia at the 2024 Korea Masters.

Previously, Indonesian mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja also competed in the final match. However, they had to admit the superiority of the Chinese pair Guo Xin Wa/Chen Fang Hui.

Dejan/Gloria lost 10-21 and 12-21 to their opponents who were the fourth seeds in the 31-minute final match. With these results, Indonesia managed to bring home one title of Korea Masters 2024 through Putri Kusuma Wardani and one runner-up title through Dejan/Gloria.
