President Prabowo Arrives In Beijing For First State Visit
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subiantomdarat at Beijing Capital International Airport, China, to make his first state visit.
After getting off the plane numbered PK-GRD Boeing 737-700BBJ with the symbol of a Garuda bird and a red and white logo on the tail of the plane, President Prabowo Subianto walked down the plane's stairs in a black suit and black cap.
It was also seen that his son Didit Hediprasetyo was behind President Prabowo wearing a long brown light jacket.
President Prabowo's arrival was welcomed by the line-up of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) army and also a girl who gave a bouquet of flowers to President Prabowo.
The Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia Djauhari Oratmangun and the Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Benny P. Nadeak welcomed the arrival of President Prabowo Subianto.
In addition, there are also Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia and Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Stella Christie under the plane's stairs.
Meanwhile, on the plane that accompanied were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
From the Chinese government, it also welcomes the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Han Jun.
From the airport, President Prabowo and his entourage continued their journey to the hotel where they spent the night during a visit in Beijing.
It is planned that President Prabowo will meet with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, Zhao Leji, Prime Minister Li Qiang, to visit the People's Heroes Monument in Tiananmen Square to lay wreaths.
In addition, President Prabowo will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the People's Center. Before the meeting, President Prabowo will be greeted with a state ceremony at the same location.
During the meeting, the two heads of state will discuss a number of priority issues. Then President Prabowo will attend the state dinner.
Previously, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said China's election as the first country to be the first destination for President Prabowo Subianto's state visit after being inaugurated showed the importance of China-Indonesia relations and the strength of bilateral relations between the two countries.
China, said Mao Ning, is ready to cooperate with Indonesia and wants to strengthen political trust, deepen overall strategic cooperation and improve the development of the Chinese-Indonesian community with a shared future to a new level.
Prabowo Subianto's arrival was at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
Following a state visit to China, President Prabowo's next overseas visit agenda is a state visit to the United States (11-12 November 2024), to Peru to attend the APEC Summit on 12-16 November 2024, to Brazil to attend the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro on 16-19 November 2024 and to the UK on 20-23 November 2024 and to Qatar on 23 November 2024.
