Eradicating Land Mafia, National Police Chief Immediately Forms Task Force
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo will soon form a task force or task force together with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) related to the eradication of the holding mafia.
The statement was made after holding a meeting with the Minister of ATR/BPN, Nusron Wahid at the Main Building of the National Police Headquarters, on Friday, November 8.
"We will soon form a joint task force to support the policy program from the Minister of ATR," Sigit told reporters.
The National Police will fully support all the policies of the Minister of ATR/BPN. Moreover, President Prabowo has given a task to Nusron regarding land issues.
"The police support what is the program, what is the policy, especially of course he gets a special KPI (Key Performance Indicator) from the President and of course we will support it," he said.
With this cooperation, it is hoped that it can provide legal certainty to people whose rights are confiscated by the land mafia.
"So that legal certainty, especially for people who have been in dispute regarding civil rights, whether it's between corporations, continues the community with certain parties," he said.
On the other hand, this cooperation can also facilitate the prosecution of land mafia. The National Police and the Ministry of ATR/BPN can exchange information regarding alleged land crimes.
