Investigate The Bribery For Ronald Tannur's Free Verdict, The Attorney General's Office Examines The Substitute Registrar Of The Surabaya District Court

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has examined four witnesses regarding the investigation into the alleged bribery case and the gratification of Ronald Tannur's acquittal. Two of the witnesses included a substitute clerk and security at the Surabaya District Court.

"Examining SW as the Substitute Registrar in and SNK as a Non-Employment Government Employee (PPNPN) or security at the Surabaya District Court," said Head of the AGO, Harli Siregar in his statement, Friday, November 8.

In addition, investigators also examined two witnesses who were the subordinates of the suspect Lisa Rachmat. They have the initials KW and SG as members of Ronald Tannur's legal team.

The examination of the four witnesses took place on Thursday, November 7, to investigate the alleged flow of funds or bribes and gratuities.

"The four witnesses were examined at the East Java High Prosecutor's Office in connection with the investigation into the alleged bribery and/or gratuity corruption case related to handling," said Harli.

In this case, the AGO has named six suspects. Three of them are Surabaya District Court Judges, namely Erintuah Damanik, Heru Hanindyo, and Mangapul.

Then, two others namely Lisa Rachmat and former Supreme Court (MA) official Zarof Ricar.

The other one is Meirizka Widjaja. She is the mother of Ronald Tannur. In this case, her role is as a bribe financier.

The role of Meirizka Widjaja is known because of an agreement with Lisa Rachmat who is Ronald Tannur's legal adviser as well as a suspect.

Meirizka Widjaja has handed over money to Lisa Rachmat so that her child is acquitted of IDR 1.5 billion.
