Police Arrest Truck Driver Who Hit A 9-year-old Boy In Teluknaga

TANGERANG - Police have arrested a man with the initials DWA (21), a land truck driver who allegedly hit a 9-year-old girl on Jalan Raya Salembaran, Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency.

"We have secured it and an in-depth investigation is being carried out regarding this incident," said the Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho, Thursday, November 7.

Zain explained that the incident began when a truck carried by DWA drove from the direction of Kosambi towards Teluknaga to pass on Jalan Raya Salembaran.

Arriving at the location, the motorcycle driven by a woman with the initials SD (20) rode with the victim's child ANP (9) preceding from the left.

So that it does not have free visibility and there is not enough space available. Elementary school victim fell to the left and ANP (child) fell to the right into the under the truck until his left foot was run over by the left front tire of the vehicle," he said.

After the incident, the victim was immediately taken to the Tangerang District Hospital for medical treatment.

Not long after the incident, residents were annoyed because there were frequent traffic accidents. They vented their anger by destroying trucks that passed by and throwing stones.

Finally, as many as 12 units of land trucks that lined up on the side of the road and would pass on the highway, the glass was destroyed. Likewise, there was a unit of a land truck that was burned by residents in the residential project area.

Not only that, there were also police cars that were also affected by the residents.
