Indonesia Harvests Medals at China-ASEAN Wushu Championship 2024

JAKARTA – The Indonesian Wushu National Team brought home 24 medals from the 1st China-ASEAN Wushu Championship 2024.

The event took place in Nantong, Jiangsu, China, November 3-6, 2024. The medals secured by Indonesia consisted of 11 gold medals, seven silver, and six bronze.

"This is a source of pride because they performed without a target and only added to their flying hours," said Head of the Taolu Achievement Development Division of PB Wushu Indonesia, Herman Wijaya.

Two female athletes who are in the national training, Terrenca Tjahyadi and Agni Agustine Dimonim, emerged as stars in the event involving Southeast Asian countries and China. Both of them contributed two gold medals each.

Meanwhile, other national training athletes, namely Ahmad Ghifari Fuaiz, ​​Rainer Reinaldy Ferdiansyah, and Patricia Geraldine, each contributed one gold medal.

The achievement was complemented by four other gold medals from athletes from various regions, namely Arya Gita Sentosa (DKI Jakarta), Abigail Fang (North Sumatra), Josh Tiasto Tanto (DKI Jakarta), and Zefanya Adelia Sidharta (DIY).

The silver medals were won by Alexandra Calista Setiawan (national training), Ahmad Ghozali Fuaiz (national training), Andrea Simon (DKI Jakarta), Abigail Fang (North Sumatra), Andrea Simon (DKI Jakarta), Theodora Rosa Santoso (Central Java), and Kenneth Christovani Wijaya (DKI Jakarta).

The bronze medals were won by Ahmad Ghifari Fuaiz (national training), Patricia Geraldine (national training), Jennifer Tjahyadi (national training), Ahmad Ghozali Fuaiz (national training), Zefanya Adelia Sidharta (DIY), and Theodora Rosa Santoso (Central Java).
