JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto congratulated Donald Trump for being elected as the 47th President of the United States.

Prabowo congratulated him in English, via X @prabowo's social media account.

"I congratulate @realDonaldTrump for being elected as the 47th President of the United States," Prabowo wrote on the verified X account reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 7.

President Prabowo said Indonesia and the United States are strategic partners who have strong and diverse relationships.

According to the Head of State, the RI-US strategic partnership has enormous potential to be mutually beneficial.

"And I look forward to working closely with you and your administration to further improve this partnership and for the sake of global peace and stability," Prabowo wrote.

Republican President Donald Trump's candidate for President of the United States is projected to win the 2024 US Presidential Election against his Democratic Party rival who is also the incumbent vice president, Kamala Harris.

Based on the monitoring of fast count data from Fox News until November 6 afternoon Jakarta time, Trump is predicted to win the US Presidential Election and become US 47th President after getting 277 electoral votes, crossing the threshold of 270 electoral votes needed to win the US Presidential Election.

The state that determines Trump's victory is Wisconsin, which has 10 electoral votes and is the third country to turn to support Trump in this presidential election. The state voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
