Clash Between Two Mass Organizations in Setu Tangerang Due to Land Dispute on Mount Sindur

TANGERANG - The police have revealed the root cause of the riot between two community groups (ormas) in Setu, South Tangerang, allegedly starting from a dispute over land in the Gunung Sindur area, Bogor Regency.

"It started with a land control problem in Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency between group ormas A and group ormas B," said Agil in his statement, Wednesday, November 6.

However, the riot continued to Setu, South Tangerang (Tangsel). Even one post of a mass organization from one of the groups was burned down.

"Then group A allegedly called their friends to come to the location of the conflicted land. When group A passed by the scene (TKP), they then carried out damage and lit a fire at a post of a mass organization which resulted in the post being burned down," he said.

Agil appealed to the two groups of mass organizations to resolve the case through deliberation and family.

"To restrain ourselves, if there are problems or disputes to be resolved through family deliberation or civil and criminal legal procedures," he concluded.

Previously reported, a clash between two community organizations (ormas) in the Prapatan Muncul area, Setu, South Tangerang (Tangsel). As a result, one post was burned down by one of the mass organizations.

Based on the information received, the two mass organizations are Pemuda Pancasila (PP) with the Setu Family Potential Development Agency (BPPKB).

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 5 evening.
