Village Head In Badung Who Was Affected By OTT Becomes A Suspect

The Bali Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) revealed the chronology of the arrest of the Head of Bongkasa Village, Badung Regency with the initials KL (59) who is suspected of receiving the money for a temple construction project from the Special Financial Assistance Fund (BKK).

Kasubdit Tipikor Ditreskrimsus Polda Bali AKBP M. Arif Batubara said KL was arrested on Tuesday 5 November 2024 at around 10:25 WITA in the parking area north of the Badung Government Center (Puspem).

Batubara explained that based on public information, the perpetrators as the Head of the Bongkasa Village often asked for a percentage fee from provider contractors, which came from the disbursement of termin funds for the 2024 Fiscal Year (BKK Badung Regency), for Bongkasa Village, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, especially in construction/construction work in the Bongkasa Village.

From this public information, investigators conducted an investigation so that information was obtained that the perpetrator asked for the project fee to be immediately handed over and taken to the Badung Puspem.

The request was requested by KL to the contractors to attend the invitation of all village heads/heads throughout Badung Regency and the Head of the Badung Regency OPD during the socialization and assessment of the implementation of the Anti-Corruption District/City Indicators for the 2024 FY by the Deputy for Education and Community Participation of the Corruption Eradication Commission.

"The perpetrator came out of the meeting place which then walked over to someone (the witness) and finally the perpetrator asked, and received some money and then put it in the right pocket of black trousers," he said.

Furthermore, said Batubara, the Bali Police's Sub-Directorate III/Tipidkor Team conducted a search, by examining the perpetrator's body and luggage in front of witnesses.

At that time, officers found various pieces of evidence in the form of Rp. 20 million. After that, investigators searched for and secured other evidence related to the alleged corruption.

In addition, during an examination in his office at the Bongkasa Village Perbekel office, investigators found evidence related to the submission documents, realization and accountability in connection with the Bongkasa Village Budget for the 2024 Fiscal Year.

Currently, KL has been named a suspect and detained at the Bali Police Detention Center pending further investigation.
