Landak Police Officer Reported To Propam About Allegedly Not Neutral In Pilkada
JAKARTA - Landak Police officers were reported to the West Kalimantan Police Propam because they were suspected of not being neutral during the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) contestation. The report was carried out by the winning team of the Karolin-Erani Candidate Pair (paslon) on October 28, 2024.
"We as representatives of the winning team of candidate pair 01 have just reported allegations of inequality allegedly carried out by several individuals at the Landak District Police," said Head of the Karolin-Erani Winning Team, Heriadi in a statement, Wednesday, November 6.
The case that was complained was a form of obstruction to the candidate pair campaign activity number one. Because one of the reported materials is related to the issuance of a convoluted STTP on the grounds of campaign zoning.
In fact, in accordance with PKPU rule number 13 of 2024 concerning the regional head election campaign, there is no regulation on zoning.
So, according to Heriadi, it is not a logical reason for the police to interfere in regulating let alone prohibiting campaign activities whose teams are compiling, besides that it should also be noted that election organizers in accordance with the law are DKPP, KPU and Bawaslu according to their respective levels.
"ASN/TNI/Polri are not election organizers, so there should be no intervention or rules imposed in the implementation of this election stage, especially if the reason is also far-fetched. The issue of who organizes the election is clearly regulated by the law," he explained.
Heriadi said that the reports they had submitted at the West Kalimantan Regional Police must be immediately followed up and given firmness for violations committed by Landak Police officers, who had mentioned several individuals whose names were mentioned in the report.
