The National Police Chief Asked To Remove The Cawe-cawe Police Chief In The 2024 Pilkada

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo was asked to remove the 'cheating' regional police chiefs during the 2024 simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The request was made by human rights activist (HAM) Todung Mulya Lubis because the fraudulent actions were not in line with President Prabowo Subianto's attitude.

"I support to conduct evaluations, assessments and the National Police Chief removed several Regional Police Chiefs responsible for the provinces (who are suspected of participating in jokes in the 2024 Pilkada)," said Todung in a discussion entitled Democracy which was eroded Post-Reformation 98, Residu Rezim Jokowi Cawe-Cawe MK, 2024 General Election and Simultaneous Regional Head Elections 2024, in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 6.

Todung said there were reports of police officers who were in a structured manner. For example, this occurred in Central Java, North Sumatra, North Sulawesi and a number of other provinces.

"If it was only one or two cases, it might still be called an individual. But when he was massive in some places, in some districts, some provinces, it would be impossible to say that as an individual," he said.

The fraudulent actions were not in accordance with Prabowo Subianto's attitude. Because, previously the eighth President had emphasized that he would not interfere in the affairs of the 2024 Pilkada.

In addition, Todung also assessed that Prabowo had a burden to clean up those who tried to abuse power. Thus, making democracy damaged from within.

"In my opinion, they must be cleaned up if President Prabowo wants to give a signal that we will restore democracy that has been damaged from the start," said Todung.
