Donald Trump Claims To Win The 2024 US Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Donald Trump claims to have won the 2024 United States presidential election, while his rival Kamala Harris said the calculation is still ongoing.

Trump, a Republican candidate to claim victory after Fox News projected he defeated Harris of the Democratic Party, closing a stunning political revival four years after he left the White House.

"America has given us an unprecedented and strong mandate," he said on Wednesday morning to a cheery crowd of supporters at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, flanked by his vice presidential candidate, Senator JD Vance, Republican leaders and members of Trump's family. November 6th.

He also spent several minutes praising Elon Musk, the world's richest man, who poured around $120 million to support Trump's campaign. Trump said he would appoint Musk to lead the government's efficiency commission.

Other news media have yet to announce election results for Trump, but he appears to have almost won after taking control of the fighting states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia and taking the lead in four other states, according to Edison Research.

Citing the Associated Press, Trump has so far managed to pocket 267 electoral votes, while Harris has received 224 electoral votes. Both require at least 270 electoral votes to win the 2024 US presidential election.

Meanwhile, Harris did not speak to his supporters, who had gathered at Howard University, where he attended college. His campaign co-chairman, capislatively speaking to the public after midnight, said Harris would speak in public on Wednesday.

"We still have to count the votes," he said.

Trump is showing strength across the country, improving its performance in 2020 everywhere, from rural areas to city centers.

Republicans won the U.S. Senate majority after overturning Democrats in West Virginia and Ohio. No party appears to have an advantage over the struggle for control of the House of Representatives, where Republicans currently hold a narrow majority.

Trump entered Election Day withira's chance to reclaim the White House, a remarkable change in course from January 6, 2021, when many experts said his political career had ended.

Trump gained more support from hispanic citizens, voters traditionally voted for Democrats, and among low-income households who have felt the impact of rising prices since the last presidential election in 2020, according to a poll from Edison.

Trump won 45 percent of Hispanic voters nationwide, trailing from Harris with 53 percent but up 13 percentage points from 2020.

In the morning at 12.30 a.m. local time, officials were close to finalizing vote count in more than 1,600 regions about half of the country and Trump's vote rose by about 2 percentage points compared to 2020.

He increased his vote in suburban areas, rural areas, and even some major cities that have historically become Democratic support bases; in high- and low-income areas; and in places where unemployment is relatively high and in places that are now at record low.

Meanwhile, Harris relied on large margins among urban and suburban voters, but his support at those venues went far behind President Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
