Its Existence Is Not Known, The KPK Asks South Jakarta District Court Judges To Reject Uncle Birin's Pretrial

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the South Jakarta District Court (PN) Judge to reject the pretrial filed by the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin. The basis is because his whereabouts were not known after being named a suspect.

"The pretrial application submitted by the SHB applicant must be declared inappropriate to be accepted by the pretrial judge as stipulated in SEMA Number 1 of 2018," said KPK Spokesperson Team Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday, November 6.

"Thus the pretrial application submitted by SHB as the suspect who fled contains formal defects and it is fitting to request a quo pretrial or be rejected or at least declared unacceptable (niet ontvankelijke verklaard)," he continued.

Budi said the search for Uncle Birin had been carried out. For example, by searching hiding places such as offices, official residences, and private homes.

However, the team that carried out the search did not find Uncle Birin's nose. Budi also said that the suspect in the bribery case did not carry out his duties as governor.

"This condition shows that SHB as a suspect has clearly fled or fled, namely since a series of arrests were carried out by the KPK on October 6, 2024," he said.
