Tend To Increase, PPATK Calls Online Bandar-Pemjudi Transactions At Small But Massive
JAKARTA - Head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), Ivan Yustiavandana revealed the turnover of online gambling transactions (Judol) in a meeting with Commission III of the DPR.
Ivan said that the development of online gambling this year tends to increase compared to the previous year.
"We see the current development of online gambling that there is a tendency to increase compared to the previous period. If we talk about this in 2023, the circulation of online gambling funds per semester 1 alone has touched Rp174 trillion, now it is in the second semester of PPATK seeing that it has reached Rp283 trillion," Ivan said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 6.
"In 2024, the first semester alone has exceeded the number of transactions in the middle of the 2023 semester or more than one full year in 2022. This means that there is a tendency to increase to 237.48 percent," he added.
According to Ivan, the increase in transactions occurred because online bookies also made transactions with small numbers. "In the past, the city's account could have a high number, now it is broken with a small number," he said.
Likewise, if you look at the tendency of transaction actors, said Ivan, the more people do judol with smaller but massive transactions.
"So if in the past people did online gambling transactions of millions now it could only be Rp. 10,000, we could see that there was a deposit of Rp. 10,000 for online gambling and all kinds of things that made transactions more massive," said Ivan.
