Prabowo Receives State Visit From Singapore PM At Merdeka Palace
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto received an official state visit from Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, today.
The convoy of PM Lawrence's vehicles has started at 09.50 WIB starting with a line of Nusantara troops, equestrian troops, and the music corps of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres).
"The convoy route starts from the field of the National Monument then to the gates of the Merdeka Palace," wrote Antara, Wednesday, November 6.
When PM Lawrence's vehicle entered the Merdeka Palace area in Jakarta, a number of school children also welcomed the arrival of the head of state by saying "Welcome to Indonesia". President Prabowo also welcomed PM Lawrence when he got out of the vehicle.
The welcoming procession then continued with a welcoming ceremony with the singing of the national anthem of the two countries and accompanied by a cannon boom of 19 times.
After the cannon boom was over, President and PM Lawrence then conducted an inspection of the honorary forces. The two leaders then introduced each other's delegates from each country who were also present at the ceremony.
Indonesian delegates who attended included Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid and Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, as well as Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryo Pratomo and Director General of Asia, Pacific and African Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Kadir Jailani.
After introducing each other's delegates, President Prabowo then invited PM Lawrence to take a photo together and sign a state guest book in the Kredential Room, Merdeka Palace.
