Trigana Management: Cause Of Accident Still Waiting For KNKT Examination

JAKARTA - The management of PT Trigana Papua stated that the cause of the Trigana plane crash with flight code IL237 type Boeing 737 500 is still waiting for the examination of the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC).

Director of PT Trigana Papua, Irwan Rochendi, in Sentani, Wednesday, said that the cause of the accident or fire was still unknown.

"The cause of the accident will be concluded by the KNKT team after they check or check," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 6.

According to Irwan, the KNTK team is currently checking what the main problem is so that the plane cancels flying.

"Actually, the KNKT team has arrived since yesterday and conducted an examination, but the results are still with them (KNKT)," he said.

He explained that when the Trigana Air 737 500 plane that experienced the incident, the cancellation of departure was still temporarily resting.

"The plane is still being checked and waiting for the spare slide craft at the door (sliDRaft," he said.

He hopes that the public will not be traumatized to continue entrusting the Trigana Air aircraft as a means of air transportation in Papua.

"Of the seven aircraft units operating in Papua, with the incident yesterday (Tuesday), currently only six aircraft are operating in air transportation services," he said.
