Russian Missile Attack Kills 6 People In Zaporizhia Ukraine, Dozens Injured
JAKARTA - Russia's missile attack on the city of Zaporizhia in southeastern Ukraine killed six people, injured 20 others and destroyed critical infrastructure facilities.
Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, November 5, Ivan Fedorov, governor of the region, said the fire broke out as a result of the attack.
Authorities did not say what facility it meant.
Prior to the attack, Fedorov and the Ukrainian Air Force announced a ballistic missile warning for the region.
Russia recently stepped up attacks on Zaporizhia, using a highly destructive guided bomb, which was difficult to shoot down by Ukrainian troops.
The city is an important logistics and industrial center located about 40 km (25 miles) from the front line.
